Greetings to all.
Although I prefer to stay anonymous, what I can share is that I am Spanish, in my early forties and live abroad for over twenty years: UK, USA, Italy …
Since I have some money saved, I’ve always tried to get better return rates than those offered by banks, which today is virtually nothing. Over the years, I’ve explored bank deposits, investment funds (fixed, variable or mixed), stocks, real estate … Some investments have resulted better than others. Gradually I’ve learned what suits best my investor profile.
In recent times, I guess like most of you, I have begun to hear more and more frequently about the new concepts “financial freedom”, “early retirement”… Without being particularly novel ideas (basically “retire soon and live of the rents”), I realized that they perfectly reflected my vision of how I see my future. It may be obvious, but basically, my goal is to achieve such financial freedom as soon as possible and thus be able to afford to live where I want, working when and where I want, and investing the least possible time in the administration of my finances. A couple of years ago, I decided to take it seriously, and with time, I have been developing and perfecting my investment strategy that can be summarized in saving and investing everything I save, diversifying as much as possible.
In 2016, I began to become hugely attract by the emerging investment platforms, alternative to traditional finance. With on-line platforms popping up like mushrooms all over Europe, where to start? During the first months I focused my efforts on learning more about their functioning and risks, and started to experiment with them, making small investments. Of all the new fintech tools, the participative investment platforms were particularly attractive for their ability to generate really attractive and stable returns over time, stemming from a truly innovative concept. Crowdlending and crowdfunding platforms have democratized the world of investments, putting them within the reach of anyone, sometimes from only 5 or 10 Euro. I focused on them and spent hours and hours exploring each platform, reading blogs and opinion pages… After a long thinking process, I chose a few, expanding over time to additional platforms, in general with quite satisfactory results. At this point, I think the time has come for me to share everything I have learned, both my mistakes and my successes.
I think that is the strength of my blog. I do not limit myself to describe platforms doing a cut-and-paste of what they present in their pages. My purpose is to describe my experience investing real money in each of them, with its pros and cons, how they operate, errors to avoid, my strategy… Most importantly, I present the return rates I obtained each month (not those advertised by the platform): real data so that everyone can draw their own conclusions. I hope it is useful.
My intention is that my experience will serve other future investors. Obviously, in the process, I would like to obtain some profitability from my blog. If you find it useful, I would appreciate if, when opening an account with any of these platforms, you do it through the links and promotional codes. Tú recibirás una bonificación por utilizarlas y, en algunos casos, eso yo me llevaré una comisión (sin ningún gasto para vosotros). Es una situación en la que todos salimos ganando.
